Announcing the Kickstarter Campaign for Banner Saga 3

Developers Run Full Circle with Banner Saga 3, Now Funded via Kickstarter

Developer Stoic is returning to its crowdfunding roots with the announcement of Banner Saga 3 on Kickstarter. As the world breaks and we reach the concluding chapter of this Viking fantasy, developers declare  Kickstarter can help their title reach heights beyond their current budget.

Banner Saga 3

For those new to the series, Banner Saga takes players to a hand-drawn world nearing its end, where the sun never moves and adventure is the same as survival. Fight in turn-based combat where every decision you make has lasting consequences. Anyone who likes good story, strategy, and art can find something compelling in The Banner Saga.

This time around, the developer’s goal is $200,000 to increase the production value and deliver a jam-packed game. At the same time, they’re investing their own money to make sure Banner Saga 3 delivers beyond previous games. As for why they resorted to Kickstarter in this installment, they had this to say:

“We’re going full circle and returning to Kickstarter where it all began. In 2012, the backers were instrumental in bringing the saga to life, smashing our initial funding target that led us to increase the scope, fidelity and production values of Banner Saga. We’re proud to be indie, and despite the stellar support we get from our publisher, Versus Evil, we’re not taking any outside funding to bring this series home, we’d love Kickstarter support to add additional features that are simply beyond our current budget.”
