Beyond Good & Evil 2 gets more teased images from its creator
Since its initial announcement back in 2008, Beyond Good & Evil 2 hasn’t had much information to share with the public – so little, in fact, that many started to wonder if the game was actually coming out at all. But Creator Michel Ancel has given fans new hope recently, posting images of the game in pre-production. Today, he teased some new visuals, giving more reassurance that Beyond Good & Evil 2 is indeed well on its way to finally being completed.
Ancel commented on Instagram, “Endangered species now saved. Game in pre-production. Stay tuned!” Those words were accompanied by an image featuring a rhino/human hybrid creature, which fans will recognize as being the same species as the brothers who ran Mammago Garage in the original Beyond Good & Evil.
This latest teaser comes after Ancel posted his first image, which was of a bearded man and a pig on his back. According to GameSpot, fans have theorized that the pig could be a younger version of Pey’J, the caretaker of Beyond Good & Evil protagonist Jade. It could also be an entirely new character that belongs to the same species. The bearded man is believed by some to be Jade’s father.
Then, another image teaser was posted of what GameSpot calls “an anthropomorphic shark character,” another species that was present in the first Beyond Good & Evil.
We have also had official confirmation of the planned title. At E3 2016, Ubisoft’s CEO confirmed that Ancel was working on Beyond Good & Evil 2, saying “Michel is working on it, but he’s doing two games at the same time–he’s doing Wild at the same time. It’s coming along, but he has to spend more time on it, so we can see it faster.”
