Trump jumps on the Pokemon Go bandwagon to take a hit at his rival
With the U.S. election coming up fast, both parties’ candidates, Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, have taken off the gloves and are busy hitting each other with everything they’ve got. Trump, ever the opportunist, has apparently jumped on the Pokemon Go bandwagon, and used it in his latest attack on his Democratic rival.
As reported in Nintendo Enthusiast, Trump has posted a new video to his Facebook page, in which he references Pokemon Go. In the video, a player “catches” Clinton with a Pokeball, as if she is a character in the game. Clinton’s “type” is described as “career politician,” and her next evolution is “unemployed.”
Interestingly, Clinton is also jumping on the Pokemon Go craze – albeit in a more positive way than Trump. Her campaign is hosting a “Gotta Catch ‘Em All” event this weekend in Ohio. The event will apparently take place at an actual Pokestop, and will even have free lures for players to use across the location. And here’s the kicker: the event will offer voter registration for all those who wish to register to vote. Smart, Hillary!
“Join us as we go to the PokéStop in Madison Park and put up a lure module, get free pokemon, and battle each other while you register voters and learn more about Sec. Hillary Clinton” says the campaign’s website – see for yourself here.
If you have been one of the millions of people around the world who has been caught up in the Pokemon Go craze, you might be interested to know that players will be able to request Pokestop locations. That’s right – find out the details in our article here.
