Amazon Spain May Have Spilled the Beans on the PlayStation 4 Neo
Sony did not show off the PlayStation 4 Neo at E3 this year like many had hoped; however, this hasn’t slowed down all the leaks and rumours one little bit. Last month we heard the PS4 Neo will arrive this year and won’t be as powerful as the Xbox One Scorpio. Today, we learned Amazon Spain may have leaked some information on the new console.
The page has since been taken down but vgleaks.com managed to snag a screen grab before it disappeared (see below).
Interestingly enough, Amazon Spain has listed a new PlayStation 4 for release on October 13, 2016.
The listing is reported to have listed the console for €399.99 – the same price the original PS4 launched for in 2013. That is around $440.00 US dollars.
If this leak is to be believed, the date means that the new console will launch on the same day as PlayStation VR. Which makes sense on many levels.
While there are no further details on the new console in Amazon’s listing, this listing could very well be the new PlayStation Neo everyone is anticipating. The new console is reported to include a faster processor and improved GPU, along with improved memory bandwidth.
All this needs to be taken with a grain of salt as Sony has not officially released anything yet. So we will just file this under “rumours” at the moment.
