Call of Duty Devs Are Really Digging The New Battlefield Game
This past week we saw a couple of massive reveals. On Monday, Activision announced Call of Duty is returning to its roots as Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will launch worldwide Friday, November 4, along with a Legacy Edition. Led by Infinity Ward, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Legacy Edition will also include Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered. On Friday DICE revealed Battlefield 1. Battlefield 1 will launch on October 21st, 2016 Worldwide on Xbox One, Origin for PC and PlayStation 4. Overall gamers seem to be reacting very positively to the DICE reveal and so are Call of Duty devs.
Gamers aren’t the only ones giving DICE plenty of kudos. Call of Duty devs from Infinity Ward have taken to Twitter to congratulate DICE and their reveal trailer. Considering the backlash against the franchise yet again (read more about that here), it says something about the Infinity Ward team who can remain positive in the face of so much internet negativity.
Principal Rendering Engineer Michael Drobot from Infinity Ward praised Battlefield 1’s facial animation and rendering:
@repi great job on BF1! – really like facial animation and rendering, keep it up! kudos to whole rendering team @EA_DICE

Game Designer Douglas Holder (previously worked for Naughty Dog) joined in as well also praising the reveal:
The new #BattlefieldWorldPremiere is sick. Congrats to @EA_DICE on the reveal. — Doug Holder (@dougMakesgames) May 6, 2016
Director of Communications Eric Monacelli also praised the choice of song, the looks and the interesting mechanics showcased in the reveal:

Needless to say there is a lot of love coming from the gang at Infinity Ward which is something we love to see from the industry. Lets just hope DICE and Infinity Ward can deliver a couple of amazing games where in the end, we all win! Regardless, well played Call of Duty Devs, well played.
