Step Into Husk’s Terrifying Town: Shivercliff

Get ready to pack an extra pair of pants when visiting Shivercliff, the setting of upcoming horror game Husk. The game is a co-operative effort between IMGN.PRO and UndeadScout, and the two studios are hoping to scare the hell out of you. The game aims to draw from a number of horror tiles, both old and new. Silent Hill, Alan Wake, and even a little bit of Penumbra can be felt in the various screens for the title, and they appear to indicate a foreboding atmosphere that should be leaving you white-knuckled.

Husk

Husk thrusts the player into the role of Matthew Plamer. Your average joe who is both a father and a husband. He’s left to search for his family after a horrible train-crash, and soon enough he happens upon the town of Shivercliff, a seemingly quiet place that may not be all that it appears. Bear in mind this is no “walking simulator”, Matthew is going to have to use all of his tools to survive this mysterious place, using both wits and strength to overcome the challenges posed to him.

For fans who have been clamoring for the kind of horror game that gets under your skin, you may want to keep an eye on this one. It’s promising to be a meshing of both intense combat, as well as head-scratching puzzles that will force the player to really dwell on a solution, rather than slot a key in a door. The denizens of Shivercliff aren’t the only thing to fear either, as the town may host a few occult deities of its own, deep below it’s seemingly quiet surface.

Husk is a purebred FPP horror inspired by tons of great horror titles, and if you want to learn more about the game, you can visit www.welcometoshivercliff.com or the Facebook page dedicated to the title.
