Oculus Rift Will Announce Its Games Lineup This Wednesday

It seems we will be getting word on what Oculus Rift’s games lineup will look like this Wednesday. Oculus Founder, Palmer Luckey said today via Twitter that he will be showing “everything on Wednesday when embargo lifts.” He went on to add:

“A few years ago, we never would have imagined that our software lineup would look nearly this good. All that work is finally paying off!” – 8:56pm – 13 Mar 16

Anticipation is strong for the games lineup of Oculus Rift, one of the front-runners in the race to get VR to market and capture the next generation of gamers. We already know at least a couple of the games that will be on the Oculus – Minecraft VR was revealed for the headset back in early March, and we reported right here that Time Machine VR will hit Oculus in April.

Oculus Rift will reportedly sell for $599 when it launches on March 28th. It will be mostly competing with 2 other headsets – HTC’s which is priced at $799, and the PlayStation VR, whose price we don’t yet know, although there is reason to believe we will find out soon. Sony has hinted recently that it will be lower-priced than Oculus Rift and more “for the mass market.”
