Deathsmiles (Desusumairuzu) is a very Japanese horizontal side scrolling shmup developed by Cave, and it is coming to Steam in the spring of 2016. It will cost $19.99. Here is the Steam trailer:
In Deathsmiles, you take the role of one of five Angels to defend the magical land of Gilverado from an invasion by Hell itself. The game was released back in 2007, and has an occult, Halloween vibe to it. Game characters are classic monsters such as the Cyclops and the Grim Reaper, and the locations for the game include such atmospheric choices as a graveyard, a haunted forest, a swamp, and subterranean caves.
