5 PlayStation VR Launch Games to Get Excited About

With PlayStation VR announcing its launch window and price, and now Oculus unveiling their 30 launch titles, the question turns to what games we can expect from the PlayStation VR when it arrives. Will it have enough fun titles to make that expensive purchase worth it? We think so. Here is a run-down of the 5 most exciting titles we know about so far for Sony’s virtual reality console.

PlayStation VR Worlds

PlayStation VR Worlds is sort of the equivalent of the Wii Sports of the PSVR. It has five mini-games in a bundle that together, show off the capabilities of the unit well. The five mini-games are The London Heist, a robbery simulation with a car chase escape; Into The Deep, a deep sea diving sim; VR Luge, a game where … you luge (I’m sure it’s more fun than it sounds); Danger Ball, a game where you strike and spin a ball; and Scavenger’s Odyssey, a sci-fi treasure-hunting game. With so many fun little games and content here, PlayStation VR Worlds will keep you occupied for a while just on its own (and help you justify that cash you just shelled out!).

Rigs

Rigs might be the most promising of the titles PlayStation VR will boast upon launch. It puts you in a Mech Suit, trying to blow up other players. There is also a kind of Rocket League twist, where you play a basketball game of getting through a goal as teams. Mech suits + Rocket League + VR? Yeah, you know it’s gonna be awesome.

Battlezone VR

We just reported that this 3D, VR reimagining of the classic Atari title Battle Zone just got a slick new trailer. It looks gorgeous, and seems perfectly suited to the new platform of VR. While it has a single player component, the real appeal of Battlezone VR is that it offers multiplayer madness at its most pure.
