Tekken 7‘s Director, Katsuhiro Harada let everybody in on a pretty impressive stat for the summer fighting game as it surpassed 2M in sales across PS4 and Xbox One. Harada relayed the information on Twitter when asked about its sales. It’s an especially strong milestone considering Street Fighter V has only broke 1.7M sold for PS4 and PC since launching last year, according to Capcom’s sales chart. While Street Fighter V is putting out an Arcade edition soon with features to help make it more of a complete package, it may not be enough to catch up to Tekken 7. In the hearts of many gamers, it would seem Namco Bandai has KO’d Capcom this generation as both companies’ long-running fighting series duked it out.
