TRANSFERENCE Gameplay and Impressions
When the first teaser hit for Transference featuring none other than Elijah Wood, we knew we were getting into something deeply psychological. When SpectreVision followed it up at E3 with new gameplay footage we knew this was going to be more intense than we expected. With the game recently released to consoles and VR, we thought we would dive into this psychological horror experience in the most traumatic way possible: fully immersed in PSVR. Check out our gameplay and impressions below, you won’t be disappointed.
Transference is a psychological thriller set in a simulation created by the father of the family, Raymond. The simulation is comprised of memories of Raymond, his wife, and their son, in which the player will experience these memories to piece together the troubles they had as a family and hopefully come to terms with their issues and unresolved problems. Being a complex simulation based on the human mind, there is of course bound to be corruption in the programming resulting in some terrifying digital anomalies. Little else has been said about the game so to find out more, you’ll just have to play it for yourself.
