Spyro Reignited Trilogy Video Review – The Purple Dragon’s Makeover is Wonderful

Spyro Reignited Trilogy Video Review

There are a lot of highly anticipated games out there, many of them featuring big guys and gals with big guns and bigger attitudes. Instead, the Spyro Reignited Trilogy offers a little purple dragon doing his best out there to save the world (although, yes, he does have a big attitude). Released November 13th, the Spyro Reignited Trilogy is a revamp of the first three games in the series, Spyro: The Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage! and Spyro: Year of the Dragon. How does the series fare down with a (graphically gorgeous) trip down memory nostalgia lane? Watch below to find out.

Thankfully, our collective love for this dragon doesn’t have to live in the past. The Spyro Reignited Trilogy has not only remastered the original three games, but has gone so far as to positively remake them in their new, present forms. This means that the gameplay, mechanics (with the sad exception of the camera angle), and story all sparkle with new polish. Whether you haven’t played Spyro since 1998, haven’t played it at all, or you’ve been writing walkthroughs in your purple Spyro shrine for the last twenty years, this fun game should be a delight to nearly everyone who picks it up.
