Spider-Man Remastered – PS5 vs. PS4 Comparison Video
The next-generation of consoles is finally here, and if you’ve been wondering how the new technology compares to your trusty PS4 or Xbox One, you’re not alone. To test the visuals of the PS5 compared with the PS4, we’ve put Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered on the new console side-by-side in the video below—and well, the results speak for themselves. Just hit play on the video below to see how full 4K, increased teraflops, and ray tracing acceleration affect the overall look of Spider-Man on the PS5.
Some of the most noticeable differences between Spider-Man on the PS5 versus the PS4—aside from Peter Parker himself, but we won’t get into that—are in the contrast and colors. The PS5 version seems to have higher contrast and exaggeration between the dark shadows in some shots and the bright highlights in others. You’ll also notice much warmer colors in the PS5 version; web-slinging around the city shows more purple and pink tones in the sky and in the environment than the original PS4 version’s.
There’s a bit more vibrancy in the PS5’s visuals, and much more stunning reflections in the building windows, walls and floor tiles. The differences may not appear huge when playing one or the other alone, but you can certainly see which one is superior when the two are compared side-by-side.
