Othercide Video Review
At the end of February of this year, at PAX East, an interesting game was revealed. Othercide, from developer Lightbulb Crew, showed off it’s creepy side in a trailer that many were not quick to forget about. With a stunning art style, this rogue-lite definitely looked like one to jump into upon release.
So now that it’s been out for a little bit, how exactly does it play? Does it live up to all the hype and all the expectations? Let’s just say it certainly doesn’t disappoint. And whether it’s been on your must-play list or just a game that caught your attention back in February, it’s worth taking a good hard look at. Check out our video review below to find out for yourself.
Now if you weren’t someone who caught the amazing reveal trailer for Othercide at PAX East, it’s a turn-based RPG that takes place in an interdimensional area in subspace. As the last hope for humanity it’s up to you, as the Daughters, to fight to survive, and win the next battle, and the one after that. Here’s a little snippet from the official website, “Take your army of Daughters into battle with all the skill you can muster. Your prowess in combat will decide their fate, shape their abilities and personality. Make the toughest decision and sacrifice one to heal another – survivors will get stronger, ready to fight the next battle.”
Othercide was released on July 27th and is available on PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC. Have you gotten your hands on this artsy and spooky strategy title yet? If so, what do you think about the game? Let us know in the comments below or on Facebook or Twitter.
