The crazed minds at Neowiz Games and Round8 take the famous tale of Pinocchio and reimagine it as a thrilling SoulsBorne adventure in Lies of P. While there are a lot of games that try to capture the intoxicating atmosphere that permeates FromSoftware games, not many stand out. Will this manage to overcome the issues that plague its peers?
Lies of P knows exactly what it is: a love letter to the FromSoftware games. Due to this, it leans into elements of each of their games and merges them to create something special. While most fall at the first hurdle, this homage manages to leap over its peers. Not only could this be the best Souls-like game not created by the Japanese giants but it can stand proudly next to its influences.
