We’ve Got Some Thoughts About Doom Eternal
Have you been waiting in anticipation for the release of DOOM Eternal since Bethesda dropped the popular DOOM reboot back in 2016? If so, then you’ve been pretty much foaming at the mouth for this latest game. It’s been out for a couple of weeks and of course, if you’ve read or watched our review on the game, you’ll know that we’re big fans of the game. Now if you haven’t picked it up yet, then you might be interested to hear some genuine, off the cuff comments from the voices of our Press X to Podcast: Paul, Rhett, and James. And it’s all accompanied with some fantastically brutal gameplay. You can catch it all below.
Now if you haven’t seen or read a bunch of stuff about DOOM Eternal then here’s a couple of the highlights: brand new demons, a new 2v1 multiplayer mode called Battlemode, new demon killing weapons and tech, and better gameplay mechanics than you ever could have hoped for. Don’t forget about the incredible strategy required to make it out of the depths of hell alive, because while you’re trying to kill the demons trying to rip you to shreds, you also need to maintain your health, armor, and ammo. And beware, as this FPS is so much more than the original reboot.
“DOOM Eternal is a phenomenal game. It’s incredibly intense, like id Software did a massive burnout on the faces of other shooters. The movement and shooting is perfection, and the balance is immaculate and restrained despite being the video game equivalent of standing too close to a rocket launch. If you’ve got any fondness for shooters, the 90’s, or fun generally, consider DOOM Eternal absolutely essential.”
