Xbox’s Content Strategy with Head of Microsoft Studio’s Matt Booty
Everyone knew it was important for Microsoft to put their best foot forward this year at E3 and try to knock out some serious exclusive content. With Sony and Nintendo winning the race, Microsoft stepped up their game with not only some great announcements of upcoming titles, but they talked about the future of their company and the acquisition of new development studios which they can help propel forward to make the games they want to make. COGconnected’s Alex Everett sat down with the head of Microsoft Studio’s Matt Booty to discuss what these meant for Xbox and gaming as a whole. Check out the interview below.
Microsoft Studio’s announced not only some fantastic titles this year in Halo Infinite, Forza Horizon 4, and Gears 5, but also the acquisition of a number of studios including Undead Labs, Compulsion, and Ninja Theory to name a few. Pushing forward, the company wants to offer their resources and expertise to these studios and give them creative freedom to creatively explore the potential of the video game industry.
