Horizon Zero Dawn Video Review
There’s no denying that Horizon Zero Dawn is something special. Excitement for the Guerrilla Games developed title began early, pretty much right when the game was announced. Over the past two years that excitement has built steadily with each new peek we got at the game. Our Executive Editor, Shawn Petraschuk took on review duties for Horizon Zero Dawn and it’s safe to say he was left impressed. In fact, impressed may not be an impressive enough word to describe it. He opened his review with glowing praise saying;
Horizon Zero Dawn is a sweeping epic, magically dancing across the lines between sci-fi and fantasy, masterfully intertwining two genres that traditionally have held their own space in gaming. That’s not to say there haven’t been other games to do this crossover but none of them have achieved what Horizon Zero Dawn has. An open world Action-RPG mixing the best gameplay mechanics we’ve seen over the years with unique and dazzling elements of its own thrown in to blow your mind.
Step into the role of Aloy, an outcast from the primitive Nora Tribe, as she fights to get answers for why she was cast out, who her mother is and more. It is an epic journey full of strong characters, jaw-dropping graphics, and fluid, fast-paced combat. You will be left with a sense of wonder countless times as you make your way through the world that Guerrilla Games has so deftly crafted. Marvel at stunning vistas as you watch the setting sun cast glints of orange off the rippling waters of a river below or trudge your way through the dimly lit shadows of a Cauldron as you try to unlock mysteries of the old world.
You can read our written review HERE but for all of you who like the visuals (and oh man, the visuals) to go along with it, we hope you’ll enjoy our video review.
