Darksiders 3 Video Review – A Misstep into the Apocalypse

Darksiders 3 Video Review

With the original Darksiders reaching massive acclaim and the sequel doing fairly well, the hopes for Darksiders 3 remained high. Returning to the same formula of following one of the Horsemen, Darksiders 3 switched gears to follow the hotheaded rider, Fury, on a question put forth to capture the seven deadly sins. With a few basic new mechanics and a beautifully destroyed world, Darksiders 3 was set on a path to rise up to its predecessors and even surpass them. Was it able to come out on top and carry the franchise forward? Check out our video review below to see what we thought.

Darksiders 3 follows the story of the Horseman, Fury, sent out by the Charred Council to gather the Seven Deadly Sins released into the world after the actions taken by War in the first game. With a great set up and an intriguing character, the game, unfortunately, is hit with major lag and framerate issues, as well as what seems like graphics that haven’t been improved in the last several years since Death led the series. The combat is fast and frantic, but the overall experience is hit or miss. This is a game best built for fans of the franchise as opposed to newcomers to the series. It is playable, yet it somehow didn’t quite reach the same heights as the previous entries.
