Wolfenstein: Youngblood –Â 4 Up, 4 DownÂ
Wolfenstein: Youngblood is the next big game set to drop for the popular Wolfenstein franchise, albeit with a new and exciting twist. Set to be strictly co-op throughout its entirety players will get to jump into the action as BJ Blazkowicz’s twin daughters set in 1980s Paris. Here’s where you’ll come head to head with more Nazis equipped with new gadgets, power-ups, and weapons. And all in less than one months time!
We got a chance to go hands on with the game at E3 2019 and by the end of it had a list of the very best and worst of what fans can expect from Wolfenstein: Youngblood. Is it all as amazing as Bethesda is promising? Is it as amazing as the E3 trailer made it look? It certainly plays a bit differently than what you’ve come to know as a Wolfenstein game. You can check out the video, complete with gameplay, below to find out for yourself.
While all previous Wolfenstein titles put BJ Blazkowicz at the front and centre of the Nazi killing action, Youngblood is set nineteen years after the events of Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus and the war hero is now missing. Thankfully not all hope is lost however, as Jess and Soph, his twin daughters, team up to save not only their father, but the world as well. Complete with some charming new characters, a brand new progression system and a whole heck of a lot to explore, it seems this game is undoubtedly worth the price tag. But it’s certainly not without its problems and there are many fans who aren’t going to see the all too present microtransactions as a good thing.
Wolfenstein: Youngblood is set to be released for PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PC and the Stadia on July 26, 2019 for just $29.00 USD. What do you think about the game so far? Let us know in the comments below!
