Anthem Controls Wonderfully in Gameplay Video From ‘Triple Threat Mission’

Anthem Demo Gameplay – Triple Threat

It’s almost here. It’s so close, you can just about taste it. BioWare’s latest game (and for some, its apology for Mass Effect: Andromeda) Anthem is less than a month away. The highly anticipated online co-op experience has been drawing comparisons and criticisms alike, with many skeptical that EA can take part in a game they won’t ruin, however, we can say with a fair bit of confidence this game is shaping up to be everything we expected and more. Our own Paul Sullivan – the lucky dog – was able to head to the studio and get in some serious playtime with Anthem, bringing back the footage of one such mission he participated in. In the footage below, you’ll see him alongside two other players explore the world as they try to retrieve a piece of Dominion tech locked away behind a giant door. With explosions and hailing bullets galore, this is one game we can’t wait to play.

From developer BioWare, Anthem is an online multiplayer co-op experience drawing heavy comparisons to Bungie’s Destiny franchise. This is a third person shooter featuring powerful exo-suits called Javelins, each with their own set of skills and abilities. Players can form teams of up to four to take on the world of Anthem and protect the settlers of Fort Tarsis.

The god-like creators called the Shapers have left the world unfinished, leaving behind their tools – the Anthem of Creation. Rival factions and indigenous species will stand between you and keeping the people safe as you catalog and research each new discovery, with the dreaded Dominion hoping to take control of the Anthem. The game features cosmetic customization, multiple load-outs, and the ability to swap between each Javelin between missions.
