Let’s Play Animal Crossing: New Horizons (Spoilers and Language)
How much fun could you really have collecting resources and building a modest little home? Apparently quite a bit, as the Animal Crossing franchise has grown to gigantic proportions. We had an opportunity to play Animal Crossing: New Horizons well before release to see what this new entry would bring to the table, and over at Press X To Podcast – COGconnected’s weekly podcast featuring James Paley, Rhett Waselenchuk, and Paul Sullivan – they weighed in on James’ experience with the title. So join us now for some early gameplay footage as our three podcasters discuss their thoughts and opinions on the game. Beware of spoilers and language – We warned you!
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is the latest iteration in the long running Animal Crossing franchise. In this entry, Tom Nook has brought you to a new island completely uninhabited and sells you everything you need to build a thriving community – provided you pay him back, of course. Typical Animal Crossing mechanics will abound as you improve your gear, catch bugs, go fishing, furnish your home, and build the island up into a thriving and bustling new settlement. Series characters such as Isabelle and Resetti are set to appear, as well as several other notable members of the cast. Animal Crossing has been a global phenomenon and an easy counterpoint to the long standing argument that video games cause violence.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is set for release exclusively on the Nintendo Switch, and will be available March 20th. Check out our full review available here, and for more information head on over to the game’s official website.
