For months my basement was a tournament stage. I bought a second ps3 controller for this game. I learned to play fighting games properly because of this game. I promptly forgot most of what I learned, but still. For one shining moment Gouken and I were a force to be reckoned with.
Stephan Adamus (Contributor) – Final Fantasy XIII-2
Fantasy XIII was too linear, and its story was convoluted, but I took the time to make sure I read all the text and understood everything that was happening, and by the end of the game, I loved the story! Also, its combat system was incredible. I kind of think of XIII and XIII-2 as two halves of the same game, and if you think of this massively secret-filled monster collecting adventure as what XIII was building to, then it makes the whole thing a fantastic gaming experience. I loved XIII-2 so much that it was the first PS3 game I got a Platinum Trophy for.
