ARMS – Nintendo – Nintendo Switch (June 16)
Currently, in the midst of its Global Test-Punch phase (you can still catch some this weekend!), ARMS looks to keep the Nintendo Switch momentum going with its first-first party fighting game. Yes, while Injustice 2 has set the bar for fighting games this year, ARMS looks to knock that bar right back down. Featuring some of that Nintendo charm, ARMS looks to be an absolute blast to have with friends or foes. Not much of a fighting fan? Fret not, for there is also volleyball to experience in this unique fighting game.
DiRT 4 – Codemasters – PS4, XB1, PC (June 9)
Racing fans rejoice! Dirt returns with DiRT 4, featuring a focus on rallying. Rallying is essentially a race from point A to point B rather than repeating laps. DiRT 4 features such rallying on both tarmac and off-road terrain in all sorts of weather. Featuring stunning graphics and a new route creation tool, DiRT 4 looks to satisfy your summer racing desires.
Tekken 7 – Bandai Namco Entertainment – PS4, XB1, PC (June 2)
With Injustice 2 already releasing, and ARMS coming in mid-June, Tekken 7 finds itself in the middle position of releasing tomorrow (June 2nd). Just halfway through the year and we are already met with a few great fighting games that surprisingly, are all different enough to cater to relatively different crowds. Here at COGconnected, we have a few writers who are understandably excited for the title, and fans of the genre will likely have a tough choice ahead of them given the fighting game options available.
