Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade – PS5 – June 10
One of the biggest games of last year comes to the PS5 with improvements and additional features, as well as new story content. In addition to the complete game that came out on the PS5, there is also a PS5 exclusive expansion, Episode Intermission, which features a new playable character in Yuffie Kisaragi. If you didn’t get a chance to play Final Fantasy VII Remake, Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is now the best way to experience this remake.
Scarlet Nexus – PC, PS, XB – June 25
Scarlet Nexus is the latest action JRPG from Bandai Namco, featuring fast-paced combat, anime-styled visuals, and an interesting narrative. The game is set in an alternate reality in which some people have supernatural abilities and are recruited to defend humanity against mindless monsters. With an anime adaptation en route a bit after the game’s release, Scarlet Nexus has the potential to be another strong JRPG franchise.
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart – PS5 – June 11
Insomniac Games has been killing it since its acquisition by Sony, having put out PS5 launch title Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and now releasing the follow-up to 2016’s Ratchet & Clank with Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. Players familiar with the series can expect your typical Ratchet & Clank-styled game, albeit, with a new playable character, a female Lombax named Rivet. As one of just a few “truly” next-gen titles by not being cross-gen, Rift Apart looks to utilize the SSD to load various dimensions quickly, a key aspect of the game.
