We continue our perfect list with even more zombie games.
Zombies Ate My Neighbors
If you’re under the age of 25, you might be scratching your head about this one. This classic Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis title pitted teenagers against zombies in their neighborhood. It had great visuals, fun humor, addictive gameplay, and is an absolute must for gamers looking to play a real classic game.
Resident Evil 2
It’d be hard to imagine a zombie list without mentioning the Resident Evil series, and for this list, we’re picking Resident Evil 2 as a top ten zombie experience. While the original game introduced us to the horrors unleashed by the evil Umbrella organization, Resident Evil 2 turned the dial to 11 by giving us a much larger environment, deadlier foes, and much more. Resident Evil 2 is one of those amazing games that fans have been begging for a remaster. It’ll happen eventually, but it sounds like Capcom wants to give fans something special if recent news stories turn out true.
The Last of Us
Of all our zombie games, this is one probably features one of the best storylines with an incredible dynamic between Ellie and her playable escort Joel. While the creatures our heroes face aren’t zombies in the traditional sense, they’re nonetheless out to eat everything that moves – so we’ll say that qualifies. A much-anticipated sequel is on the way and we can’t wait!
Dying Light
Co-op multiplayer, Mirror’s Edge-like parkour, a massive city, day and night cycles – this is one excellent game that’s a must play for any zombie game fans. Dying Light was developed by the same team that made the stellar Dead Island games (contenders for this list, no doubt, but not quite “top 10” material). A sequel to Dying Light is anticipated to be announced at E3 2018. Be sure to stay tuned to COGconnected to ensure you’re the first to know.
