Bioware likes to spoil its gamers by giving us whole adventures and journeys complete with being able to find love and companionship throughout. In Star Wars: The Old Republic, we were able to romance a total of 31 possible candidates. However, there are many restrictions such as being only attracted to certain class types. Interestingly enough, the more criminal-like class types allowed you to romance more than one character. This makes for some really interesting love triangle dynamics.
Stardew Valley
Life absolutely slows down in Stardew Valley as you take over your grandfather’s farm. As you learn the ins and outs of the farm life, you’ll also be able to win over the hearts of plenty of people who live in Pelican Town. You can swoon these candidates with their favourite gifts. These include your average bought items, specific crops, fresh animal products, and rare minerals. Once your chosen candidate has fallen enough for you, they’ll eventually move onto the farm and into the same house as you!
The Mass Effect Trilogy
Once you’ve chosen your gender for Commander Shepherd, you have a few different romantic options you can choose between. The interspecies romance makes things exciting and some are exclusive to some genders and classes however there is a decent amount of candidates that are open to either gender. Space travel I’m sure is a cold and isolating journey, so why not make it a little easier with a companion?
The Sims 4
Ah, The Sims 4, is a game where you can literally do anything you want, especially if you’re the kind of player who likes to add some spice to your game with the use of mods. You can create your main character to your heart’s content, and you can also create the best other half for them as you possibly can, or you can try your luck and have them fall in love with a townie. There are plenty of things to do in the game, from building the perfect dream home for your spouse or you can play through the many job trees to move up the corporate ladder and support your family.

If you want your heart to be moved, To The Moon will undoubtedly do just that for you. The story tells of Johnny who wants to go to the moon before he dies and Sigmund Corp. can do just that with the technology they have access to by implanting the memory directly into his brain. From within his memories, they uncover the story of his childhood sweetheart, River and the feelings they had for each other. And from these stories, we can truly understand his desire to reach the moon. Certainly a title you’ll need to play along with a box of tissues.
