Top 10 Games from Nintendo’s E3 2019 Direct
Coming in last, and never the least, Nintendo’s E3 2019 Direct aired on the morning of the first day of the actual show as usual. With an absolute arsenal of potential series to work on, as well as fresh new IPs, Nintendo dances to the beat of its own drums. We look at 10 of the best announcements from this year’s Nintendo E3 Direct.
- Super Smash Bros. Ultimate – Banjo Kazooie, The Hero
While the game itself was not a primary focus of the Direct, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate deserves a spot on this list simply due to the reveal of a character that signifies multiple points. Banjo Kazooie represents some of the best games on the N64, the willingness of Nintendo to collaborate with Microsoft, and a genuine hype moment. While the reveal of The Hero was overshadowed somewhat by Banjo Kazooie, fans of the Dragon Quest series have much to look forward to as well.
- The Witcher 3
Originally released in 2015, The Witcher 3 is the winner of multiple Game of the Year awards. Now making its way to the Nintendo Switch, The Witch 3: Wild Hunt is yet another massive AAA title to make the leap to the portable system. While the graphics will undoubtedly not be as crisp as it is on other consoles, there are plenty of gamers who are sure to enjoy the game on the go.
- The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening
The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening brings the classic title back to life in a unique art-style. Players will seek to awaken the Wind Fish, either for the first time or not. This classic title finds new life on the Nintendo Switch in an art-style that exemplifies the artistic risks that Nintendo is willing to take to create unique experiences.
