The Top 10 Zombie Games Ever Made

2 – Dying Light

Dying Light rekindled my childhood fear of darkness. It brought a fresh concept to the zombie genre by incorporating parkour among a city of infected, there was a Mirror’s Edge mixed with Dead Island vibe throughout the game and it makes sense because it was created by Techland, the same team who made Dead Island. They clearly learned from the mistakes of Dead Island and created a more polished game from it. You had your typical run-of-the-mill zombies during the day, but at night the infected become more agile, stronger and relentlessly persistent. It’s terrifying to get caught in the night and have to make a break from multiple infected chasing you down. Think the rooftops are safe? Think again, at night some of the infected are able to climb almost any surface and they most certainly will. Dying Light The Following HERO

1 – The Last of Us

Naughty Dog’s critically acclaimed action-adventure horror received buckets of praise from gamers everywhere — it’s the game ‘you have to play’ according to your friend with a PS4. An outbreak of the Cordyceps fungus decimates the United States resulting in infected cannibals taking over the streets. A man named Joel with a little girl named Ellie band together to survive. There was fantastic voice acting that reeled you into the universe, if you liked the movie ‘The Road’ then The Last of Us will be right up your alley. The production value from the graphics, story to the incredibly fun game play set this apart from the rest of the games on the list making it the number one spot — the laundry list of awards just proves it, The Last of Us has snagged over 200 Game of the Year awards across the globe.

To finish off, i’d like to give a couple honourable mentions to Treyarchs Nazi zombie mode on Call of Duty for the insanely addictive co-op game play and the House of the Dead series for eating all of my allowance money growing up. To be fair I should also give some respect to the Dead Rising series which is definitely good but just not quite where I was at for the top 10. It’s safe to say that after playing all of these games, the inevitable zombie apocalypse will be nothing short of a breeze. Take these games as training programs for the real thing because its better to be safe than sorry right? That being said, it’s about time I brush up on my parkour.
