Kefka Palazzo

Kefka Palazzo is the main antagonist in Final Fantasy 6 (Final Fantasy 3 in North America). What made Kefka such a great villain was his nihilistic take on life – he just didn’t give a shit about anything. He is commonly remembered for his haunting, high-pitched cackle.

Bowser

Super Mario’s nemesis for the past three decades, Bowser is one of gaming’s most persistent villains. His bucket list apparently only features two items: successfully kidnap Princess Peach and destroy the Mushroom Kingdom (or at least rule over it). He keeps trying, but Super Mario thwarts him every time.

Andrew Ryan

Would you kindly consider Andrew Ryan as a contender for gaming’s greatest villains? His original intentions actually seemed almost inspiring; create a new world under the sea for people to live in peace. Unfortunately, events transpire that force Andrew Ryan to turn against his populous and enslave them to defeat an opposing force.

Pyramid Head

Our final villain, according to our Press X To Podcast crew, comes from the Silent Hill franchise – Pyramid Head. It should be noted that it’s likely he’s not just one person (or monster) but rather a group of monsters – since there were occasions where players would fight more than one Pyramid Head. Nonetheless, this terrifying creature has been causing sleepless nights for gamers for decades.
