Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

Found yourself wondering what it might be like to be a Viking? Look no further than Ubisoft’s latest in the popular franchise with Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Did you want to go fishing? Maybe you’re looking to get involved in some rap battles or hunt for treasure. Whatever shenanigans you were hoping to get into with Valhalla, there’s absolutely no shortage of things to do and fun to be had. Drink, raid, and battle to the death for honor and glory! After all, isn’t that what the holiday season is all about?

Now while you might be wondering what Godfall is doing on this list as it’s touted as a PS5 timed exclusive title, it’s also available on PC. From Counterplay Games, developers of Duelyst, comes a brand new action RPG looter-slasher that combines a gorgeous environment with smashing combat and much like Destiny it’s completely online! Kick the crap out of vicious enemies as a Valorian knight and earn the brightest and most powerful loot this fantasy world has to offer. The game design is impressive, it sounds awesome and honestly, Godfall looks slick as hell. No better time to add this to the must-play list and scoop it up for Christmas.

DOOM Eternal

Searching for a game that will perfectly melt time away and put you in a great mood, regardless of the day you might have had at school or work? DOOM Eternal is exactly what you’ve been looking for. Get ready to rip through a large variety of demons at hyper speed and get completely sucked into an extraordinarily tense shooter that’ll have you on the edge of your seat. Paul had this to say about the game, “Doom Eternal is a phenomenal game. It’s incredibly intense, like id Software did a massive burnout on the faces of other shooters… If you’ve got any fondness for shooters, the 90’s, or fun generally, consider Doom Eternal absolutely essential.”

Ori and the Will of the Wisps

Moon Studios truly created a masterpiece with Ori and the Blind Forest and they looked to do it again with the highly anticipated sequel. As many of us know, sequels can often be underwhelming. Thankfully, this is definitely not the case with Ori and the Will of the Wisps. This new metroidvania-style platformer will suck you in from the opening scenes. Though quite challenging it’s hard not to fall in love with the characters, aesthetic, soundtrack and emotional narrative. Get those tissues ready because Ori and the Will of the Wisps is most certainly a joy to play and it’s absolutely going to make you cry.
