Choose The Right Perks
If you decided to take the robot overlord route then it’s wise to choose the right perks to maximize your output. For higher level upgrades you will need to make sure you have enough intelligence for higher level perks. The following are the most useful perks to invest in:
- Armorer (STR 3)
- Unlocks ranks to higher level armor mods, it’s also needed for many of the armor upgrades in your robotic workbench.
- Blacksmith (STR 4)
- Access higher level weapon mods for your robot.
- Inspirational (CHR 8)
- This perk offers various upgrades to a companion which increase damage, resistance to damage and more carrying space.
- Science! (INT 6)
- To upgrade your robot with any high-tech armor or weapon mods you will need to rank this up as high as possible.
- Robotics Expert (INT 8)
- Its main purpose is for hacking robots but in the DLC it’s a requirement for accessing high level mods for your robot.

Robots can’t be assigned to run stores so that will be left to the settlers with all their new found free time. The possibilities? Near endless…
