8. Tetris Effect
With spectacular lighting, particle effects, and more, Tetris Effect’s dream-like presentation is surreal; practically ethereal. Stacking bricks with finesse and precision in a nebula bursting with color and star-spangled sea creatures is mesmerizing and unlike any Tetris experience that’s come before. It’s one hell of a visual drug and killer title for PSVR.
7. Dragon Ball FighterZ
For life-long fans of the anime, the faithful application of the art makes Dragon Ball FighterZ the most visually satisfying entry in the series extensive video game history. I’ve personally yet to win a match online, but I certainly savor those luscious animations while trying. At the time of review, we said it’s “Perfectly faithful to the classic Anime. Beautifully animated and smooth as butter. This is the Dragon Ball game we’ve wanted to gawk at for the past 30 years.”
6. Detroit: Become Human
When determining the course of a tale portraying three unique androids with genuine human emotions, believably expressing those emotions is vital. Between facial expressions and body language, the actor’s performances are beyond palpable and, in turn, prevail in following through with their gut-wrenching emotional punches. In our review, we state that “Quantic Dream brings Detroit to life in all aspects. Not only is the atmosphere stunning as hell, but every single piece of the game is crafted to perfection. Facial animations are some of the best I’ve seen, with every little pore, line, and hair detailed. Additionally, Connor’s investigative tools are brilliant.”
5. Forza Horizon 4
Not only is Forza Horizon 4 one of the finest racers ever developed, but it’s also one of the most graphically impressive. The jolly UK is a lavish setting to explore, stunt through, and race across in painstakingly detailed vehicles that brilliantly react to lighting, weather, and damage effects. Jolly good, this one, jolly good!
