Roccat Vulcan 121 Aimo Gaming Keyboard is Truly Something Special
There is no doubt the mechanical keyboard industry is competitive. With every passing year, keyboards keep improving, making the differences between all those fancy keyboards relatively minor. We’ve always been impressed with Razer’s collection of keyboard but lately, Roccat has been making some waves with their line of PC accessories. Late last year, Alex reviewed Roccat’s Vulcan 122 keyboard and was absolutely gushing over it. To this day, it remains his go-to keyboard. Needless to say, I was pretty pumped when I recently received my very own Vulcan keyboard. There are many wonderful things I can say about this keyboard, it’s the best one I’ve ever owned, but here are three things that really stood out for me.
Lightning Fast
It goes without saying, having a keyboard with fast reaction times is kind of a big deal. The Vulcan 121 includes Titan-Switches which are not only designed to be incredibly durable and light-eight but also provide faster response times. They feel great too! The response time is awesome with these keys and easily the quickest & most satisfying switches yet. If there is one area where this keyboard really shines, it’s definitely the Titan-Switches.
So Damn Sexy
Just like the other Vulcan keyboards from Roccat it uses thin keycaps that sit on top of elevated switches. It’s a unique look that is visually striking. Add to that the default RGB lighting and the Vulcan 121 Aimo is easily one of the best-looking keyboards on the market. The look truly pops and screams high quality. The chassis design is sleek and the lighting effects make the Vulcan 121 really stand out from other keyboards. It’s a nice size as well. Some of my previous gaming keyboards were simply too big for my keyboard tray. But this isn’t the case at all here.
So Many Options
Admittedly, the Swarm software can be intimidating. There are so many options, you don’t even know where to start. You can tinker with everything with this software. Everything from the lighting to reprogramming keys, the Swarm software allows you to customize your keyboard any way you like. You can link profiles, reprogram keys and you can create sound effects. Yes, this keyboard allows you to create sound effects for every keystroke. How cool is that? I mean, this could get annoying real fast, but I absolutely loved how I had this option.
