3 Up, 3 Down – June 2018 Edition
June 2018 saw E3 2018 take center stage, but there were still some game releases that occurred before, after, and even during the event. While May 2018 saw Detroit: Become Human take center stage, June 2018 had fewer games vying for the top spots. Without further ado, let’s take a look at the three best and three worst games from June 2018.

Unravel Two

Announced and released on the same day at EA’s E3 2018 press conference, Unravel Two is the follow-up title to the original, beloved Unravel. This time around, the charming platformer allows for local co-op, letting players play through the whole game with a friend. In our review, we found that the platforming was fluid, the mechanics were incorporated well, and the levels were beautiful and diverse.
NieR: Automata Become As Gods Edition

Originally released on the PS4 back in 2017, NieR: Automata was a vastly underappreciated title by the masses. However, its release on the Xbox One allows a whole new audience to experience this magnificent title with all its DLC. With its fantastic storytelling, incredible soundtrack, and excellent gameplay mechanics, we found that “if you love a great story told with devastating style, you need to play through Nier Automata several times.”
Mario Tennis Aces

Who doesn’t love a solid Mario sports game? While Mario Tennis Ultra Smash was not as well received as Nintendo may have hoped for, Mario Tennis Aces returns to the court with a vengeance. With the return of an RPG-style adventure mode, lots of modes, and a strong tennis game, Mario Tennis Aces definitely serves up an Ace. In our review, we found that “Mario Tennis Aces is a really fun game and another essential title for any Switch owner.”
