Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate
While we would rather see a PC version of a newer title in Capcom’s extremely popular series, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate would seemingly be the easiest to port over considering an HD version is already available on Wii U. Considering the series’ popularity is starting to catch up in North America, a PC version could help give the franchise the extra boost it needs, and pave the way for more console games in the future.
Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance
If there is one game that is most likely to get ported on this list it’s probably Disgaea 5. Nippon Ichi Software announced late last year that their quirky strategy role-playing game series would be coming to PC in February 2016. Currently only the first entry in the series is on its way to PC, but if successful, it could lead to more ports down the line.
While we’re certainly glad to see the original coming to PC, Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance would’ve probably been a better introduction. Not only is the PlayStation 4 exclusive title the best game to feature Prinny and friends, it’s by far the most accessible. Options like the built-in cheat shop help eliminate grinding from the game, and it’s not like there is an overarching story between entries.
3D Dot Game Heroes
Before Silicon Studio hit big with Bravely Default, the Japanese developer won over the hearts of PlayStation 3 gamers with 3D Dot Game Heroes. The Atlus published title had a gorgeous voxel art style that blended well with its retro gameplay. While voxels are now all the rage thanks to Minecraft, it was far more unique in 2009.
Considering the game it plays most like, The Legend of Zelda, is nowhere to be found on PC, 3D Dot Game Heroes could successfully fill a niche on the platform. Add in Steam Workshop support for the game’s 3D sprite editor, and the adventure game could have a lot of legs thanks to the PC community.
