10 Games We Would Love to See Get PC Ports

Halo: The Master Chief Collection

Despite early rumors, Halo: The Master Chief Collection never made its way to PC. Instead the collection of the first four main Halo games has stayed exclusive to Microsoft’s all-in-one home entertainment system. This is very disappointing, especially considering the first two games in the series received PC version.

Better late than never, right? A PC version of the game would still be able to net Microsoft a healthy profit, and the collection has already served it’s purpose of holding gamers over until Halo 5: Guardians released. At this point bringing Halo: The Master Chief Collection would only help inspire more people to purchase an Xbox One.

Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown

Fighting games have become increasingly popular on PC, but one notable series hasn’t made its way over yet. That series would of course be Sega’s Virtua Fighter. We haven’t seen a new series in quite some time, and series’ icon Akira has been in just about every fighting game not named Virtua Fighter in the past 5 years. So it’d be great to see Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown get injected with new life via a PC port.

Bayonetta

You should be starting to notice a trend with Sega published video games. The Japanese developer has never prioritized PC development until recently, which means a lot of its classic backlog would make for great PC ports. There is no better example than PlatinumGames’ Bayonetta.

The Hideki Kamiya directed title is one of the best action games ever made, and the action is as fun as it is stylish. We’d love to see the femme fatale make her debut on PC, even if the sequel could never come over. Another good reason to bring the game to PC is due to some of the technical issues the game had on consoles (with the PlayStation 3 version being especially borked).

Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise

While the first entry in Rare’s greatest series got a PC version, the superior sequel never did. If we’re ever going to get the third Viva Piñata game that the world desperately needs (but does not deserve) then a PC version could show that the series still has legs.

Console controllers were never the best way to play this simulation game, and it’s easier to raise a farm full of piñatas with a mouse and keyboard. Still not sold on the idea? Let me sell you on it in seven words: Romance dances in 60 frames per second.
