10 Games That Would Make the Nintendo Switch an Instant Best Seller

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles was originally conceived back on the Gamecube, and spurred its own spinoff series which now has a total of six games. It would definitely be interesting to see a modern take on this particular spinoff series as well as see how local portable multiplayer could affect gameplay mechanics. Of course, online multiplayer would have the potential to improve multiplayer sessions, and improvements to the single player experience would be required to shore up the experience.

Pokemon

It doesn’t come as a surprise that Pokemon’s main games will continue to find their home on the Nintendo 3DS at this point, given the number of consoles sold thus far. However, it would be great to see another Pokemon title on a home console with its own story akin to Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness of Gamecube legend. With portable consoles usually having connectivity with these console games, it would not be too much of a stretch to see Pokemon GO incorporated into the Pokemon video games as well.

Baten Kaitos

Monolith Soft has been hard at work for Nintendo, collaborating on a number of projects in addition to their Xenoblade work. If the developer wants to change things up a bit, Baten Kaitos would be a perfect way to do it. The series has featured interesting combat and intriguing stories thus far, and could continue that trend with Nintendo’s improved hardware. Including more playable characters and cards would also allow for multiplayer action which should be a success given video games’ fascination with collectible cards nowadays.

Monster Hunter

Monster Hunter has really gained popularity in the West in recent years, from Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate to Monster Hunter Generations. Although the latest Monster Hunter, Monster Hunter XX, has only been announced for Japan so far on the 3DS, we don’t know whether it will come to the West. A move to the new Nintendo home console would continue to allow for local multiplayer but also online multiplayer and a return to the big screen. The series’ last foray onto the big screen didn’t do too well, but an increase in series popularity in the West could prove differently this time around.
