Complete Side Missions

Yes, Infinite Warfare includes side missions. These missions unlock as you progress and you are given the opportunity to tackle these missions whenever you please. Completing side missions allow you to dig deeper into the story. It is not obvious at first, but completing side missions allows you to upgrade your suit and jackal. Suit upgrades include faster weapon swap, faster reload, less flinch, faster health regen, enhanced focus, Electro Knife, etc. Jackal upgrades include new weapons, new paint jobs, and improvements to damage, armor, and thrusters. So don’t skip these missions!

Find Campaign Weapon Armories

In the campaign tracking down each weapon armory, which is found in most story missions and the Ship Assault missions, can yield you great rewards. There are what the game calls “Equipment Upgrade Consoles” and these will upgrade a piece of your Lethal or Tactical gear. You can also find unique weapons in some Armories. For instance, if you can find the Armory room in “Operation Deep Execute” you can get yourself a pretty amazing gun. We won’t spoil it for you, so go get it and tell us about it!

After playing through the campaign, you can replay in different modes that change up the intensity and give you entirely new challenges. For instance, the Specialist mode is unlocked after beating any difficulty. This is incredibly realistic and only recommended if you are up for the challenge. Mastering the lean-from-behind-cover mechanic is critical for survival. Yes, this Call of Duty has a cover mechanic. When you approach the edge of cover while standing or crouching, and aim down sight, you see a chevron appear on the side of your crosshairs. You will auto-pop from behind the cover when you do this. If you complete Specialist mode, you can unlock YOLO mode. That is right, you only live once….
