Dr. Neo Cortex
My favorite boss fight against Crash’s main nemesis is in Crash Bandicoot 2. It has Crash flying through space in a jetpack (not sure about the science there), and it’s one of the coolest scenes visually in the entire game. Plus, it always feels good taking down Neo Cortex’s evil plans.
Ripper Roo
Ripper Roo makes his debut in the first Crash Bandicoot game, but he also serves as the first boss fight in Crash Bandicoot 2. It’s pretty much more of the same as Ripper bounces around a floor planting TNT. It’s up to Crash to avoid his dangerous patterns and watch him injure himself (which is always satisfying in games).
Komodo Bros.
The Komodo Bros. are one of the more unique Crash Bandicoot bosses as its a pair of sword throwing dragons. Crash has to make their teamwork backfire, and it’s one of the coolest fights in the game. I also love the imagery of dragons opting to use giant swords instead of their physical attributes.
Tiny
Tiny doesn’t exactly live up to his name. Well, if anything he outgrew his name since he’s absolutely gigantic. The gigantic brute chases Crash around falling platforms, and its up to Crash to trick the brawling character to jump into one that is ready to fall. It’s another breezy boss fight that is just fun to play.
