March 2023, like most Spring months, was full of great game releases. COGconnected doesn’t award a lot of 90 or higher reviews, but this month had multiple 90+ games that won’t make it on the Three Best (and Worst) Video Games from March 2023.
April 2023 continues a strong year for video game releases. It’s a strange batch of top titles, because they’re all games from major franchises and developers, but none of them are guaranteed critical darlings.
Assault Suits Valken Declassified is an incredible remaster. Having all the cut material with a new translation is going to be a dream come true for some. The translated guide book, and making of documentary are incredible extras.
The story of Paranormasight: The Seven Mysteries of Honjo is captivating, and the throwback point-and-click adventure gameplay will be a treat for some. But the game needs more time and effort to be an enjoyable experience.
