Train Sim World 7 Hits the Tracks on PC and Consoles Today

Welcome Aboard the Train Sim World 7

Train Sim World 7 has officially left the station. Dovetail Games has launched the latest installment in its railway simulation franchise, bringing new routes, fan-favorite locomotives, fresh gameplay modes, and full Steam Deck support to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

The headline addition is a trio of brand-new routes spanning the English countryside, Germany’s high-speed rail network, and Florida’s Tri-Rail, marking the series’ first-ever journey through the Sunshine State. Players can take the controls of the BR Class 331, ICE 4, DB BR 440, and Tri-Rail GP49H-3 across vastly different landscapes.

Train Sim World 7 also introduces three major gameplay upgrades. Freight Hauler Mode adds cargo-based challenges with performance scoring; Live Weather mirrors real-world conditions for each route. And Beginner Controls let new players jump straight into the driver’s seat with simplified acceleration and braking.

On the technical side, players can expect faster loading times, improved PC visuals with the new Epic graphics mode, expanded conductor settings, and a range of quality-of-life enhancements designed to make every journey smoother.

Dovetail Games has also teased an ambitious roadmap, confirming future routes set in Japan, Romania, Portugal, and the Netherlands. The team also announced that the highly requested ECML King’s Cross route is on the way. A free Starter Pack is available for anyone looking to try the game before upgrading to a full edition.

With new destinations and smarter features, this latest installment is shaping up to be the franchise’s strongest departure yet.
