Spanky “Bat-A-Swing” Has Officially Launched Its Kickstarter Campaign

Show Some Love and Support for Spanky “Bat-A-Swing”

Green Flamingo has officially launched the Kickstarter campaign for its debut action platformer, Spanky “Bat-a-Swing,” and it’s already bringing plenty of rhythm and personality to the spotlight. Players can jump into a PC demo right now, offering a taste of its beat-driven gameplay, where every swing, dash, and attack syncs perfectly with an energetic electro swing soundtrack. The studio is planning to release the game on Switch and Xbox as well. So, make sure to keep a look out.

Set in the vibrant city of Metronopolis, the story follows Spanky, a clever bat fighting back against the city’s new ruler, Metrognome. Under his rule, everything now moves to a strict musical rhythm, turning daily life into a controlled performance. With his unique audio-reversal cannon ears, Spanky sets out to restore freedom and silence the chaos once and for all.

The game takes players across three distinct districts, each with its own style and challenges. From the eerie graveyard vibes of Morguetone to the lively jungle atmosphere of Blue Vines, every area introduces new mechanics, obstacles, and rhythmic twists. Precision and timing are key, especially when chaining attacks or uncovering hidden collectibles like vinyl records.

Boss encounters lean heavily into the game’s musical identity, featuring multi-phase battles that evolve alongside shifting tracks. Characters like DJ Cobwebb and Maestro Bonobotti bring both spectacle and challenge. This helps turn each fight into a performance of its own.

With its stylish 1930s cartoon-inspired visuals and rhythm-focused gameplay, Spanky “Bat-a-Swing” looks like a lively and creative debut. For now, the demo offers a fun glimpse into what could be a standout indie release.
