It’s Been a Remarkable Journey for Owlcat Games
Owlcat Games is celebrating a major milestone today, marking ten years since the studio first set out to create its own CRPG experiences. What began as a small, passionate team has grown into a recognized name in the RPG space, with multiple successful titles and even a move into third-party publishing.
To commemorate the occasion, the studio released an anniversary trailer. It reflects on a decade filled with challenges, breakthroughs, and memorable moments. The journey started with a simple idea as a group of developers gathering around a table, rolling dice, and dreaming of building deep, story-driven RPGs. That vision eventually led to the release of Pathfinder: Kingmaker, the studio’s first major project.
Owlcat built on that foundation with Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, a much larger and more ambitious title. Known for its rich characters, extensive role-playing options, and years of post-launch support, the game became a defining success for the studio.
Following that achievement, Owlcat ventured into the Warhammer universe with Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader. It became one of the most widely praised title widely praised in the franchise. Looking ahead in the future, the studio is continuing its momentum with upcoming projects. This includes Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy and The Expanse: Osiris Reborn.
