Blue Ridge Hunting Is Entering Steam Early Access This August

Appalachian Horror Awaits in Blue Ridge Hunting

During the Women-Led Games Showcase, publisher Six One Publishing and developer Jade Meadows have confirmed that Blue Ridge Hunting is officially coming out in Steam Early Access this August. This means players will get to track down some of the region’s famous cryptids.

The game is a mix of storytelling and intense multiplayer gameplay. In story mode, players become part of the Appalachian Investigation Group in teams of up to three. They have to follow clues, gather evidence, and hunt creatures that are inspired by legends. One of the mysteries is about the Mothman, which makes the game really chilling and full of folklore.

If you like to play games in an open way, there is a freeplay mode where up to five players can explore the Appalachian wilderness. When you finish an investigation, you get money that you can use to upgrade your gear. This is important because, as you play, dangerous creatures start to appear.

What makes Blue Ridge Hunting special is how it is designed. The old-school, found-footage style of the game looks really creepy, like horror games. The voice chat feature adds to the tension because even a whisper can attract creatures you do not want to meet. The music in the game is also really atmospheric, with a bluegrass sound that fits the setting perfectly.

Blue Ridge Hunting is currently in development for PC, and the Kickstarter campaign is also live. With its mix of folklore, strategy, and teamwork, it is a unique take on the genre and is coming out in Early Access this August. You can go ahead and wishlist the game for future updates.
