Viral Sports-FPS Ball & Gun Is Coming Soon
ProGen Games has officially announced that its debut title, Ball & Gun, will launch on Steam Early Access on June 5, 2026. Developed by NVZN Studios, the game blends fast-paced first-person shooter action with the rhythmic intensity of an arcade-style basketball experience, creating a unique hybrid that stands out in the indie space.
Set in a chaotic “Ballpocalypse,” players must survive relentless waves of undead enemies while mastering precision-based basketball mechanics. The core gameplay revolves around two interconnected systems: the “Way of the Ball” and the “Way of the Gun.” Players must sink 50 Perfect Shots to secure victory, all while managing positioning, timing, and an evolving arsenal of heavy weaponry. This dual structure creates a constant push-and-pull between offensive survival and skill-based scoring.
Ahead of its Early Access release, Ball & Gun has already gained significant traction. It has been selected as a World Premiere title at The MIX Summer Game Showcase on launch day. The game has also appeared at several major events, including DREAMHACK Atlanta, BlerDCon, and upcoming showcases like the Enoch Pratt Indie Game Fest and ImmerseCon.
The title first caught attention during its alpha phase in March 2026, drawing tens of thousands of players and generating millions of impressions in a single weekend. Built on a custom lightweight architecture, the game supports competitive features such as tournaments, leaderboards, Career Mode tracking, and team-based Crew Ops.
