Prepare to Shapeshift in SWAPMEAT
After spending several months in Early Access, SWAPMEAT is finally gearing up for its full 1.0 release. Developer One More Game has confirmed that the quirky third-person roguelite shooter is nearly ready, with players now able to submit their final requests and feedback ahead of launch.
If you haven’t heard about the game, SWAPMEAT is a unique, fast-paced, chaotic action game built around one standout mechanic: swapping enemy body parts. Players step into the role of Squishy, a shape-shifting operative working for Rangus Corp, who can rip and equip parts like heads, torsos, and legs from defeated enemies. Each part comes with its own unique ability, allowing for a wide range of combinations that can dramatically change how each run plays out.
The game supports both solo play and cooperative action, letting players fight through waves of bizarre, meat-like enemies either alone or with friends. Between runs, players can upgrade their builds with new abilities and enhancements, while permanent weapon upgrades ensure steady progression over time.
SWAPMEAT also features scaling difficulty, offering a flexible experience for both casual exploration and more demanding challenges. Boss fights, encounters with powerful Hunters, and unpredictable world events add further variety, ensuring that no two runs feel the same.
With its distinctive gameplay loop and evolving systems, SWAPMEAT looks ready to leave Early Access behind on a strong note. The full 1.0 release will arrive soon on PC via Steam, marking the next step for this unusual but promising roguelite.
