Assetto Corsa EVO Has Evolved Significantly
Assetto Corsa EVO is taking another major step forward today with the arrival of its 0.7 update, as publisher 505 Games and developer KUNOS Simulazioni released one of the most important upgrades since the game’s Early Access debut in January 2025.
This update is more than just a content drop. It signals a shift toward a more open and community-driven future for the racing sim. The biggest highlight is the first release of the Assetto Corsa EVO SDK, an editor tool designed for experienced users. This tool allows players to create custom vehicles using a pipeline similar to the developers’ own workflow. While this initial version focuses on car creation, support for liveries and tracks is expected later, laying the foundation for a long-term modding ecosystem.
On the content side, four new cars join the roster, bringing a mix of classic style and modern racing performance. Players can now get behind the wheel of the Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II, the iconic Datsun 240Z in two variants, the legendary Porsche 935, and the Porsche 911 GT2 RS Clubsport Evo Kit.
Another notable addition is the EVO Safety Rating system. Unlike traditional systems, it rewards close and clean racing rather than simply avoiding contact. This creates a more competitive and realistic online environment where skillful driving is properly recognized. Visually, the game also sees a significant upgrade with a new particle system. Smoke, dust, water spray, and collision effects now react more naturally, enhancing immersion across all racing conditions. Alongside these features, the update also comes with several improvements to gameplay, UI, and overall quality of life.
With 0.7, Assetto Corsa EVO continues to evolve into a deeper and more dynamic racing title, and it is clear that even bigger updates are on their way.
