Lara Croft Returns in Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis
Amazon Game Studios, Crystal Dynamics, and Flying Wild Hog have officially revealed the release date for Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, a modern reimagining of the iconic 1996 classic. The highly anticipated title will launch on February 12, 2027, arriving simultaneously on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2.
The announcement was accompanied by a brand-new gameplay trailer showcased during the latest State of Play broadcast, offering players a first look at the game’s updated visuals, refined mechanics, and cinematic presentation. Pre-orders are now live across major platforms, giving players the option to choose between three different editions.
The Standard Edition includes the base game along with a Survivor Outfit as a pre-order bonus. The Deluxe Edition expands on this with 48-hour early access, an exclusive Parisian Fugitive Outfit, and a post-launch story DLC. Meanwhile, the Collector’s Edition caters to dedicated fans with physical collectibles such as a premium steel case, a Lara Croft vs. T-Rex statue, a mini art book, a Croft signet pin, and an Atlantean talisman keychain.
Notably, the game will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 on the same day as other platforms, promising a fully optimized experience that maintains its cinematic scale whether played at home or on the go.
In terms of accessibility, the game will feature full audio and text localization across multiple major languages, alongside additional text-only language support.
With its blend of nostalgia and modern design, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis looks set to deliver a fresh yet familiar adventure for both longtime fans and newcomers when it arrives in early 2027.
