Go North Is Bringing Its Adventure on PC and Xbox Series X/S on 28th July

A Meaningful Journey Awaits in Go North

The cozy maze adventure Go North has officially locked in its release date, bringing a calm yet mysterious journey to players later this summer. Revealed during the Black Voices in Gaming Showcase, the game will launch on July 28 for PC via Steam and Xbox Series X|S, with a Nintendo Switch version currently in development. A playable demo is also set to arrive during the upcoming Steam Next Fest.

Developed by solo creator Tade Ajiboye under the studio name gazuntype, Go North places players in control of Dara as she navigates a series of atmospheric labyrinths shaped by both nature and subtle technological elements. The demo introduces four new levels, featuring dense forests, surreal bookshelf corridors, and floating sky islands. Alongside these environments, players can experiment with fresh mechanics such as the Camera system, while solving puzzles and uncovering side quests.

The experience leans into a reflective tone, encouraging exploration without pressure. Players search for the Maze God by finding exits hidden within intricate mazes, all while discovering unique tools like the Lunaboard and levitating bubbles that aid traversal. Collectibles such as Golden Compasses unlock additional content, while cosmetic options allow for light personalization.

Ajiboye describes the game as a peaceful escape, designed to let players slow down and absorb their surroundings. The journey focuses less on urgency and more on thoughtful wandering.

With its blend of calming gameplay, artistic design, and meaningful themes, Go North looks set to offer a refreshing change of pace when it arrives on July 28.
